An M.C. Battle. Big Hand NO hands is opposition some lyrics with a blend of beats from music producer Knucklez. We went very abstract with this music video by having it start as a traditional battle & having a kid arrive to describe Hip Hop, along with Mike, a sax. player/jazz musician, suddenly arrive. Of course, when I wrote the music video treatment for this song, I had jazz being a symbol of foundation within Hip Hop & the kid representing the future of Hip Hop. NO taking a bite off of the apple could be traced back to the Bible, Adam , and within in this line, spirituality. Perhaps, the purity in our music will always be tested by the temptation of corruptness? The third part of the music video is a testament to the old-school story telling of Hip Hop. You know, a bag of weed, and the feelings of recollections can take a comical twist of reality and life.
It is always a pleasure working with NO, we have more of a solid friendship than a working relationship and even though Reality, How We Really Do & Tribute were concrete in learning experiences and building for the two of us, Big Hand Knucklez was indeed full of fun. NO allow me the opportunity to explore my abstractness and he filled in the colors with his lyrics & Knucklez shaped up the form with his experimental musical collage.
Thank you for reading & hopefully watching our music video.
