I remember when I seen this race live as it happened. Of course, I wasn't there, but
I did see on television. I was proud not only being from Illinois, but I was very
proud of being an American. I still remember what Andrea Erhig from East Germany
said to Bonnie. "It just wasn't a race, it was also a dream. Bonnie was crying, but
she also had America in tears of happiness. Does anyone have Bonnie's
Olympic Medal Ceremony from this race in 1988. It is a very moving moment.

i so wish people would loook back at hisotry and see this before saying OHNO IS GREAT HES HAWWT OMG OMG OMG and not see that the sport is what matters not whose hot or not, and that before ohno Heiden and Blair set the pavment for apollo ohno to get it.
yes Apollo is awesome but blair is just as

Its great to see this again.So glad her Dad got to witness that as he died Xmas Day 1988 or 1989.
