Thank you SO MUCH, thecelticinme, for posting the clips from this documentary. These two have long been my favourite opera singers, especially Flicka. She's so freshingly down-to-earth, and has just the greatest laugh. So pleased that these two will be doing several recitals together in the next few months. Hope I can get to at least one of them.

This is so predictable. Any interview with an opera singer will inevitably cover: 1) being a "diva"/why aren't you more of a "diva" and 2) Maria Callas.

@saxamaphoneguy1 That's interesting you would mention Kiri's speaking voice, and I totally agree. I've for a long time been affected by Flicka's speaking voice quality (as well as the down-to-earth content). For an example, her CIM Commencement 2009 address here on youtube.

I've said this before, but I LOVE listening to Kiri talk, it's just so relaxing. No wonder her singing voice is so heavenly. I love Flicka too, she is so down to earth! thanks for putting up these great interviews!
