Mormos couldn't face the truth if their lives depended on it...kind of like water or air for normal people...deception & lies also keep them alive.. their way of life has been ingrained in them for generations...otherwise, how could they believe the freakshow that is their "religion"??? It is with total disbelief & horror that I see a mormon is this close to being president.
Romney would win if he wasn't a Mormon. The avg. American knows Mormons are the crazy people that bother you at your front door.Need I mention the crazy cult beliefs?
I would not say Mormons are nuts, I know a few and they seem fairly on-the-level, but some of the beliefs I have found to be extremely unbelievable, at least for someone who is mildly educated. Calling it Christian is a bit of a stretch also ... regardless of whatever they happen to call it or say.
The majority of the US is disturbed by how someone could believe in Mormonism, especially if they claim to be intelligent. I don't think they care that he is Mormon, I think that they think he will forgo logic and believe just about anything.
Mitt: The absolute BEST candidate we have. Forget the "he looks and sounds presidential", which is incidental at best. He BEHAVES presidential and he stands by the values I stand by (meaning conservative values). Regardless of religion, he IS the best conservative candidate we have had in a long time.
Mormons believe the bible to be the word of God as long as it is translated correctly. When I have gone to their services, Lessons are taught on chapters or sections of the New or Old testament. The addendum to which you refer is known as the Book of Mormon, which people of the LDS faith claim is an addition to the story, not a replacement.
If Mitt was introducinging himself as a Mormon, there is no problem. Mitt is LDS, OK.
The problem comes when the LDS agenda is introduced...the idea that Mormonism is now somehow Christian. We hear Mitt share Dec6 that "We worship the same God." REALLY.
If one understands the foundation of Mormonism he would know this is a HUGE red flag.
Integrity, morals? he has any of them. During his Massachusetts campaign he promised many things but than "changed his mind" and actually hurt many people and betrayed his voters. Is it integrity? His faith has nothing to do with all that. Just wait a week longer and he is gonna sell the "faith of his fathers" for political opportunity.
Check out: Barack Obama exposed and Hillary Clinton exposed on Human Events (google the website). You don't see the true content of their "character" on tv or in the news.
