8 Sugar Gliders Feeding

I place a food dish into a colony of 8 sugar gliders. They are all a family originating from mom and dad. They are being fed a variety spread from Kazko's Diet which you can read about at http://www.sugarglider.com/gliderpedia/index.asp?KazkosDiet. They typically go right for the blender mix which is never the same.

can sugar gliders have fish? i have been researching them and i know they need a high protein diet

Fish probably not the best idea. Stick with mealworms and crickets. If you want to mix it up, go for the can o' silkworms or can o' grasshoppers they sell canned at pet stores. Theyre normally marketed for reptiles. Chicken babyfood is good too. A high protein (40-50% protein) cat/dog food like Evo or Core Wellness are good too, but only up to 5 kibbles a day each since too much can give them problems.

@OffTheScales Meal worms are a great treat but absolutely not a staple food. Baby food of any kind is ridiculous as part of a staple diet. You are being led wrong with that.

@wolfsrose21 I do feed shrimp but primarily focus on ground turkey. I think most any fish would be ok if you have it readily available.

can you feed gliders pineapple? i buy my boys fresh cut fruit salad from the grocery and i feed them everything but the pineapple. im skeptical cause pineapples seem like they would upset the gliders stomachs

@zagacks I will sometimes blend pineapple in a mix. It is fine to feed.

Pretty sure I just watched a video from a vet that listed tons of things not to feed them, pretty sure everything on that plate is on that list lol.
