In the middle of the afternoon on January 4, 2009 Salisbury station 20 was dispatched to a dwelling fire in the 1700 block of Kline St. While enroute 20 command was advised of numerous calls of a working fire and a 2nd alarm was transmitted. Smoke from the fire was reported to be seen as far away as Whitehall Twp, and when command got onscene he had a well involved home. Crews immediatly went to work with a defensive attack due to rapidly changing conditions and a water supply problem. The fire was finally placed under control several hours later.
