  • that looks like 2g intake right?

  • @MrTurbo4G63T

It is not a 2g intake...the TB elbow is from the FMIC kit from slowboy racing

  • @tavo80816 iv been trying to understand how this works, what does water or methanol injection work? what does i do? and why do it? just curiouse lol

  • @mrsledhead7

the meth kit jet is inserted right b4 the throttle body. u set up the boost solenoid that comes with the kit at a certain level (eg 15psi). so when ur car reaches 15psi, the pump turns on & the meth/h2o gets injected into the engine. the meth allows you to run highr boost levels without having the engine knock. It decreased the temp of the air that gets sucked into the combustion chamber. the liquid gets evaporized almost instantly. so if you want to run 18psi u can w/ this.

  • which is better alcohol or water injection

  • @IxLeGiTxI

Alcohol lets you run more boost and decreases engine knock more.

  • if you purchase the aem meth kit which supplys you with everything you need to use it tht comes with its own progressive controller which in turn allows you to start the controller say at 5psi then set your max psi say 14psi so then what will happen is the aem kit will start giving water/meth at 5 psi at a low percentage then increses the percentage throught out the boost which means you getting extra power threw the boosting proccess aswell as the main 100 percent shot at full boost a win win

  • shit load of water to be spraying into your engine ...

  • The spray is too coarse (droplet size) - needs to be like mist or fog, and the injector ought to spray through the center of the inlet, not from one side to the other.

  • what does it do give it more power, makes it faster, better takeoff

  • @tavo80816 be careful with modern engines and alcohol though, if the MAF sensor detects alcohol it will swithc the car to limp mode

  • you need an accumulator tank on that setup? Your water jet is pulsing, which happens when you use certain on demand pumps (such as certain Shurflo pumps) plumbed straight through to the injection nozzle without an accumulator tank. I realize this vid is 5 years old.

  • @brandonch25 Yes Exactly right. The higher the octane rating, the more compression the gasoline can take before igniting. With higher boost levels, the cylinders are already at a pretty high pressure from turoo before they start to go upward to compress the fuel and air mixture. If you run higher octane, the additional pressure will not predetonate the mixture. Basically you get the same effect with 93 octane gas and high boost as if you put 87 octane gas in regular boost which is engine knock

  • @USGiorgi why would you want the octane to go up with higher boost levels ? just wondering out of curiosity ... i know that the higher the octane the more pressure it needs to ignite ... does low octane fuel predetonate at high boost levels ?

  • AH thats a shit load of water dude ahahaha.

  • @mrsledhead7

In simple terms, it increases the octane rating of the fuel going into the engine.
