Recorded October 29, 2011 - Perhaps I've been watching Top Gear too much but at this time of year, this was the best way to show you what's happening in the vineyards. This time of year really shows which vineyards are planted in the best areas. In just a short drive down from Hester Creek, you'll see a huge change in the life of the vines from one location to another. The Golden Mile Bench wineries (Fairview, Tinhorn, Gehringer, Hester, Antelope Ridge, and Road13) all share this similar terroir. These vineyards have warmer temperatures and the cold air drains down to the valley below where the cold air shortens the season.
