The HITMAKERS
Every Song Has A Story
Concept:
Scoring a hit song is the holy grail of the music business. The secrets to what makes a song
popular are held closely by a handful of men and women who can consistently move a feeling
to a collection of notes notes to a melody words into lyrics and a winning vocal to
create a pop hit. To the average listener, a great single is a magical blend of words, music
and performance. But to the pros, recording hit songs is an ongoing business challenge that
requires the artful and tactful manipulation of singers, songwriters, arrangers, engineers and
radio programmers.
The HITMAKERS is a half-hour docu-reality television series that provides a candid and
revealing behind-the-scenes look at the fast-track process of creating pop singles. Each halfhour
episode tracks the creation of a new song, from the time the idea enters a songwriters
head to its emergence as a fresh slice of pop culture.
Our cast is a unique group of prolific songwriters from Rockstar Music Corporation, an indie
music company with a fast-track plan for success and a proven track record to make it
happen. Adam H, Sean Hosein, Dane Deviller, Steve Smith and Anthony Anderson are a hit
making machine. They are called upon to create songs for artists including 98 Degrees,
Jessica Simpson, Kelly Rowland, The Corrs, George Clinton, Stacie Orrico, Jordan Sparks,
NEYO and Canadas electrifying Elise Estrada.
Each episode is launched by Rockstars hyperkinetic Adam H. He has a new artist, an idea
for a new tune or has been contacted by one of Rockstars network of producers and labels
who rely on them to create the hits fast! The singer could be an established artist or a
fresh newcomer. From this potentially multi-million dollar call-to-action, viewers will get a
crash course in the creation of a hit single. We follow our song from its birth to its premiere
broadcast on radio or music television.
About half of the featured artists will be fresh to the music business. The other half will be
