  • Many thanks for you Lyly for your translation! many greetings my friend and thanks again!

  • 23.Audrey: But Alain Delon is still popular all around the world.

    Alain: Yes, apparently :)

    Audrey and Alain: Thank you

  • 22.Alain:...There was a time when there were a French cinema, an Italian cinema but now there is no longer a "French cinema", there are personalities.

Audrey: But there is this impression that the French cinema still resists better than the Italian cinema for example.

Alain:...Because there is no longer an Italian cinema, just one or two personalities...Maybe that the French cinema resists better but all around the world, in China or Japan, French cinema is no longer what it used to be.

  • 21.Audrey: What do you think about today's cinema? You've had such an impressive career and it's not finished...Do you think that today's cinema gives young people the desire of acting?

Alain:I would say less than before because there are less personalities than in the past century. The problem is that I don't feel good in this century and I think cinema feels the same, like an old man who is dying, maybe because of the TV industry too...

  • 20.Alain:...They are too young to know, I had already lived a lot when they were born.

    Is the interview soon finished?

    Audrey: No!

Alain: I wanted to ask you something that has nothing to do with the subject. I was very moved by Maria Schneider's death this morning. I met her when she was very young, I engaged her for a movie with Mireille. She has had a difficult life and I think she is very happy now, more than us, with Brando. She's happy at last.

  • 19.Alain:...They were born 20 years ago and don't really know how has been my career. I want them to know where I'm from and who I am.

It's all very long to explain and there are things easier to write than to tell.

Audrey: But if you write about these things, your children won't be the only ones to know, other people will know your life.

Alain: Many people know that kind of things about my life but not my children...

  • Maybe it's just me, but he seems like he focused on all the wrong things in his life and he is trying to focus on his daughter's career to take his mind out of things.

  • Toujours un homme beau, sexy et adorable. xx

  • Great! Thanks a lot for the translation!

  • 18.Audrey: Anouchka is 20 years old. During teenage years, which are difficult years for a daughter and her father, did that kind of conversation occured?

Alain: No, never. It happened with Alain-Fabien, not with Anouchka. I was lucky with her. It's more difficult with Alain-Fabien.

Audrey: I read that you're wrinting your biography?

Alain: Not really. If I ever write about my life one day, it will be for my children, for them to know where I'm from and who I am and what I did in my life...
