might be tense but it seems they're trying to be amiable and get along, which is nice to see. I was afraid Beck would be totally insane, to be honest, based on some of his older interviews.

wow, I've wondered about how these guys interacted during that tour for years and years and now I finally get to see.. very intriguing. (Wayne definitely should've given Beck some time to talk though)
-
regardless of who you like better... Wayne constantly cuts off beck... it gets irritating...

You're right, but your also very obviously biased in the Lips' favor. I've read that article and he wasn't written up nearly as bad as you're making him out to be. The Lips and Beck just weren't a good fit; it was a culture clash. Wayne also probably wasn't as upset as that article made him out to be because he's Wayne and doesn't actually give a shit.

Flaming Lips had nothing but horrible things to say about Beck. Said he was a pretentious asshole who would show up 4 hours late for rehearsals everyday. And that he spent most of his time yelling at his assistants for bringing him food that wasn't to his liking. Some reporter traveled with them on tour and wrote an article about it. His conclusion that Beck is not as cool as he previously thought, and the title of the article was something like "Beck is a Dick".

ahh i didnt really see anything, but thats just wayne, he's a talker :D

This is like watching an interview between cocaine and oxycontin
-
He needs to shut up and let Beck actually talk, the interview is about BECK'S ALBUM, not his.

When Wayne says "Alot of times we're in our seperate corners doing interviews" I (if I was the interviewer) would have replied "But you ofcourse manage to do both your interview and Beck's interview anyway!"
Talented guy, but the man doesn't know when to stop. I guess he leaves all the space for his music.

wayne is just an asshole. just listening to him in this interview, you get the feeling he'd be a really awkward and conceited person to be around.
Did anyone else feel some hostility from Beck and Wayne toward each other?

Love Beck. Love The Flaming Lips. I'm a big fan of Wayne, Steven and Michael.
I think Beck has a little less presence than Wayne does, not to say that he has less to say, just that Wayne wants to say his bit more.
There's no need to fight this; even if you don't appreciate one side of this interview. Both of them rock!
Someone said something about Beck being this generation's Dylan, and I thought they might have something there.
although, If he's the new Dylan, Wayne is the new Lou Reed.
