Personally for me, it depends. There is definately good death metal out there. However, there's still some really crappy stuff too. Generally the people who hate death metal, mix it up with deathcore, which really does suck. The difference is that Death Metal generally has a strong, driving rhythm, with a melodic, or at least semi-melodic guitar line. It doesn't suck at all. Deathcore is nothing but screaming, growling, random sounding drums, and random guitar screeches. THAT is what sucks.

Awesomeness!! I hate death metal too man. Punk is the shit. I'd rather watch you play and listen to you play than those dumbass death metal drummers. Your style is real. Death metal drumming isn't real drumming. Don't listen to these idiots that love death metal and think those drummers are the best.
