I've grown up (and still live in) a VERY small town in east central PA, around 5,000 people, 2 and 1/2 hours from Philadelphia. With all the extreme ignorance and small-mindedness, it's pretty much like living in the deep south, except with far less black people so you're left with atrociously stupid, sheltered, trashy white people that insist that they're radically religious and republican views are actually relevant in today's world. There's a reason its nickname is Pennsyltucky.
