  • Unbelieveable musicianship! Does anyone know the history behind the Bosco Stomp?

  • @kb5urq I don't know the whole history other than Lawrence Walker came up with it. But I don't know if it is totally original to him or he got the tune from somewhere else

  • Anyone know when this footage was shot? Looks like the 70's. Man they're really great. Is Aldus Roger still alive?

  • Not sure what year it's from, but probably late 70's early 80's. Aldus died quite a while back.

  • Is the steel guitar legit in Cajun music? Doesn't bother me, but it seems close to crossing over to country. Maybe someone who knows more about Cajun music than I do can tell me how often a steel is used.

  • Hell yeah!

  • @kb5urq It was filmed on Channel 15 in Lafayette in 1983.

  • my mother was born in Bosco

  • many years ago, i asked zachary richard, who he thought was the best cajun accordion player was ..... he said aldus roger!

  • Aldus was the man, then and now

  • @wulfdogcat I just saw your post. The video came from me I sent it to the guy that posted it on youtube. I have the dvd of the tv show he was on .

  • RIP Aldus Roger....one of the true all-time greats, and the music of my childhood...mom is 83 now, and in a wheelchair, but this great music can still make her tap her feet....and make us all happy.

  • I like it.

  • This released in the early-mid 60' by Rusty & Doug. This tune is also known as the "Cajun Stripper". (1/4 cajun) It is posted on youtube.
