Lezak is a prime example of adrenaline. Bernard is a fantastic swimmer, the French really should have had no challenge in that relay, but human will is ridiculous sometimes. @mikethetallguy, Bernard was a :47.2 open, why would you NOT anchor him? Plus he ended up splitting a :46 mid, that's still pretty freaking crazy. Lezak just decided to help Phelps out a little bit, it happens sometimes.

@mikethetallguy Why being so rude? No swimmer selects himself for a relay, the coach does. We can't blame Bernard for that. Second, swimmers do have ups and downs. And the older they get the slower they become. But I still love to watch guys like Schoeman, Lezak and Frölander compete against the younger guys. Respect for their efforts and all the training they do to achieve this.
