The Victorian state emblem, Leadbeater's Possum, was thought extinct until its rediscovery in 1961. What threatens the survival of this tiny marsupial? And what is being done about it?

This video accompanies a display about the possum at Melbourne Museum, on until 13 April 2011. http://museumvictoria.com.au/melbournemuseum/whatson/event/?event=562972

  • God damn the soulless arsonist who set the fires.

I wish I could help but I don't live in Australia and have no money to send. Good luck to you and the possums.

  • They are so cute. I see why there were so many volunteers to help these little guys. I hope they do well and start to thrive once again.
