I taught my puppy to ring a bell when he needs to go out, and this is exactly what he does. He usually rings it again 5 minutes after i've brought him out. I just ignore him them. But he's quite the little manipulator. I've made it so when he rings, we go outside for 2 minutes, no playing, no eating grass. If he doesn't go, he comes right back inside.
