For a decade, Republican policies decimated the middle class in favor of the wealthy.

Dino Rossi has run against unpopular Democratic women candidates and gotten his lunch handed to him over and over again. If someone who was perhaps less well known but likable was running against Patty Murray they might have a chance but he is ignorant of the real issues and would do nothing but be an obstacle to any sort of positive action with anything. Sound bites are just catering to the lowest denominator.
