@SierraRailway Yeah, I see the confusion, I meant when was the last time Sierra Railroad ran McCloud #18?
It's funny to me, even though #18 never was on the V&T tracks until 2009, when it was trucked from McCloud to Sierra Railroad, it was hauled through Carson City. I don't know why. But since it was in/through Carson City once years ago, we like to say it came "back" to Carson City.

what are you talking about? Sierra running McCloud? if you mean the #18, she ran there last in 2009. I meant she hasn't pulled a train on the V&T since she was bought by them. they leased her to Sierra, which was a HUGE mistake.

Hey nice video, smart to sit at the back in the Carson City car. This last weekend they only had two coaches, so you got the right shot! The best scenery starts after 0:50 past the Road and Highway Builders pit.
Five star, this is probably the best video on Youtube for an overall representation of the scenery along the line, showing many features of the entire route. The only thing missing is Tunnel 2, Overmoney Pit (overman pit), and the old route into Virginia City. Good work

AWESOME!!! Nice to see her pulling a train on the V&T, since she's been owned by them for about 5 years and hasn't once pulled a train until recently.
Thanks for the nice comments. Its a beautiful ride. Although being run by a City/Gov agency, or whatever it is, brings along lots of irritating little issues. No standing while train is moving??? What are we 5 year olds? They need a nice open car so one can escape the slightly overabundant commentary as well.
