I decided to upload this due to the lack of information on Xbox-Linux here on youtube. I figured out how to install linux onto the original xbox(since there's almost no information on how to do it left on the internet) and I restarted the xbox linux project wiki in order to help anybody else who decided to install linux onto their xbox. The purpose of which is to share information and help others trying to install linux. If you wish to share information and help others out, become a part of the revived Xbox Linux Project (2nd link).

  • THANK U, cha boy ur right there aint no guides like this RESPECT fa real

  • @word2one yeah boiiii

  • Thanks its quite easy and very helpful. Also i would like to note that you can boot this from any blank cd, with a spare pc dvd drive. Just take the ide cable from the xbox drive and plug it in your pc drive (leave the yellow power cable plugged in the xbox drive). Powering the drive can be tricky, but i managed to find a molex 4 pin splitter and i split the connector on the hdd. With power going to both dvd drives and hdd. Put a xbox game into xbox drive and any cdr in the pc drive and presto!

  • @dmaskell92 woo hoo!

  • xdsl7.05 flashplugin update problem....

  • @nizzamxx Were you connected to the internet? If you have the flash player, it's sluggish and takes forever to load videos, but it can do it.

  • xebian cd freeze... why... xubuntu frezee... why..

    gentox slow.....mandrake partition error....

  • @cashman1632 damn, maybe you have to take things off to make space. You could copy all of your files, replace the hard drive with another which has more storage, and then try an install. ^ I don't blame you if you don't want to go through with that lol. At least you could boot from the disc.

  • Thank you. Unfortunately, received an error message "couldn't create partitions. no unused space available for install"
