  • @adamobarca I agree it doesn't sound like the sixties recording. It actually sounds like the version he did in the seventies (1977?) to me. I could be mistaken though. Never-the-less I do believe it is Karajan.

  • I think the most thrilling movement is 4th

  • I think this might be the best movement throughout this symphony...

  • I think adamborca is right. Most noticable is the slower tempo.

  • dear wolfgango, i'm afraid i have a hard time believing this is really Karajan's rendition...it sounds nothing like his 1966 interpretation...nothing at all...it also does not sound like the Berliner orchestra...nonetheless it is still a beautiful piece of work. :)
