  • Thanks for your comment, Yes indeed it is a magnet. Magnets are used to quiet the anvil. Some Anvil's can ring very loud and cause hearing damage. Please pass this site on to your friends. -Dave

  • @hoofrise Have you been, or are you simply talking out of your ass while printing out your hoofter diploma on your home computer?

  • Well, at least you're not beating cow turds in this one.

  • ill say shoeing is a necessary evil, but we know just as much as you, theres no need to put down farriers because we put shoes on. and lots of horses need shoes nowadays and wouldn't be able to function without them.

  • @hoofrise, ok we get taught every movement, every nerve, every vein in the horses body, every problem and foot disease known. the barefoot trimmers do a 3 week corse...

  • @MrBobberly Let me guess, they wear a lot of toe?

They don't teach good hoof mechanics in college or farrier school. So how could you possibly know how to trim a foot?

  • @hoofrise ... you sound like you know what you are talking about, "horse shoers" we call our self farriers and we do 1year at college and a 4 years and 2 months apprenticeship we know how to trim a foot...

And ok we shoe hunter horses who wear though a set of shoe's in 2 weeks now your telling me that them horses would be sound with out shoes on ???

  • what an absolutley incredible trade!...ive always worked with my hands and have a great respect for those who do also!...i would have loved to have learned this trade!!...not to mention it must keep you strong as a horse!!..(no pun intended)!

  • Almost all horse shoers know nothing about trimming a hoof. If you can't keep a horse working barefoot, you can't keep horses feet and should resign!

  • yes agreed, great vid, great info, and great camera work. So sick of YT videos that are so shaky its like the camera man that is just coming of a 3 day crack binge

  • hey hopw you doing

when would you need to use this technique ?
