Evangelion AMV - Pirates of the Caribbean "He's a Pirate" & "Jack Sparrow"

An AMV for an anime that isn't even out yet? Is this a record? ;)

It's been a long time since I last posted an AMV - truth be told, my Madoka/Be Prepared AMV getting C&D'd earlier in the year hit my morale very hard and I couldn't muster the will to create another video for quite a while. However, the new Rebuild of Evangelion trailer that was released recently knocked me for six, and as my head rattled in the tumble it began banging the creativity neurones together again. The trailer is perfectly formed - a mere fifteen seconds of animation sparks with more energy than a hundred frenetic quick-cuts thanks to an inspired choice of shot, with an Eva hurtling like a rocket and spinning like a dynamo, delirious and delightful. Needless to say, I've become pumped for the new Evangelion film, and this AMV sprang from my mind practically fully-formed - I hope it conveys a measure of the same enthusiasm.

"Pirates of the Carribean" has one of my favourite movie soundtracks, rich in personality and one that plays widely with its theme - it's good music in its own right outside of the context of the film, and well worth a purchase.

@TherealMrChristophel Heh, certainly something to bear in mind for when we get some footage of Arrrrsuka with lip-flaps. I do submit a fair number of skits to the AMV Minis, if anything comes to fruition I'll give you a co-credit for the idea. :)

@Borfel Thanks for your support, Borfel. As for pageviews, it probably doesn't help that Evangelion really isn't 'flavour of the month' right now - my more popular videos have been put up when the shows in question were still being broadcast, which helps a lot to attract attention to them. The EVA machine will probably still be relatively quiet until next year. Still, if you like it, spread the word! Every click of a pageview is like a soothing stroke of my needy ego... *lol*. ;)

As always I look at the title before watching the amv and think "oh god,what the hell is robert up to again?" and by the end I'm amazed at how much everything fits

@totoumisback Thanks for your continued interest, Totoum. I've been knocking around a few ideas for Evangelion AMVs for a while now, and in the last few weeks have produced several skits for the AMV Minis that I think have concepts strong enough to be expanded to full-length videos, so hopefully I will be more productive towards the end of the year.
