i wrote this song for Gary Lewis and his recording was by far the best one. But it was recorded by six other artists and none of them were a hit even though it was picked by all the dj's as their pick as the best song of the week on all of the radio stations.

Thank you for the lyrics, but im trying to pay attention to the vocals, and it seems ( i mean. what i listen ) ..you wrote:

Everything is painted all in gray ( Wouldn't it be: Everything looks painted all in gray ?)

That special place where we used to meet ( Wouldn't it be : That special place we used to meet ), where ( When?) we could (Were? or Would?) be together

It's changed it's not the same ( And Ordinary ?)

Yeah, you 're right : And it's a very good song too that should have been a big hit ..is the most beautiful example of sunshine pop ...seems Beach boys sounds :)
