Sociedade dos Vinhos Borges has a long and active history dating back 1884. Two brothers, Francisco and António Borges established at that time a company for Port Wines and a bank.
Nowadays, Sociedade dos Vinhos Borges has a complete portfolio of DOC wines from the most traditional and old wine producing regions in Portugal: Port wines, Douro wines, Dão wines, Vinho Verde, Rosé wine from Trás-os-Montes region and sparkling wines.
Today, and since 1998, it is integrated in JMV, a family group of entirely portuguese capitals, to which belongs the company which, since many years ago, is the most important distributor for Borges products in Portugal.
In 2000, its headquarters were transferred to Rio Tinto (Gondomar), where the offices and the finished product warehouse are occupying a beautiful classified building, from the beginning of the XX century.
As a result of its work BORGES wines are today available in over 50 countries from the five continents. BORGES name is a guarantee of quality consistency both in supplying products and customer service.
