  • I am a groomer at petsmart and I find a lot of these comments very offensive. The owner probably wanted the dog that short. And yea we do own scissors. We dont shave down every dog that comes in. Most people want short haired dogs because its easier maintenance on them at home. We also do not abuse dogs. As far as how the haircuts look, it all depends on the groomer u have no matter where u go. Stop blaming all petsmart groomers for crappy cuts cuz some of us do a fantastic job.

  • @yoyoluc When a dog is dropped off, there is an initial consultation. During that time, the parent is responsible for expressing their haircut desires to the groomer, and an agreement is reached. All directions are read back to the parent and a waiver is signed. As for the groomer being "18"...Well, that sounds like a pretty ignorant and immature statement. I know some old school, very experienced groomers that have been very abusive to people's pets. Looks can be deceiving.

  • Did the owners not seem happy?

  • Ok some Petsmart people may not be good but that doesn;t give you the right to comment on all of them so shut your mouth

  • pet smart groomers SUCK !!!!!!! EVERYTHING IS A #10 BLADE !!!!

  • gosh she looks skinny now hahaha!!!

    sooo cute

  • @Sbozan7 the petsmart near me actually cut my shishpom all the way to the skin and shaved some of her skin off. i asked them to leave her long and trim her nails. they didnt even bother with her nails. i then had to take her to the vet because she had such damage done to her. i dont bring my dogs to the groomers any more i learned to do it myself!

  • she is sooo cute!

  • @0815ank I've always said I'd work at Petsmart again if I needed a job, provided that the staff was different, which it is, since I worked there 10 years ago. It's a decent company to work for. I'm glad that you love your Petsmart. :)

  • @xthegiftofstonesx That sucks. We don't do any of that at my place. We all get along pretty well and we have a pretty good relationship with some of our clients. Our manager helps us out so much too. He will sweep, check in bath dogs, answer phones, check out dogs .. only bad part is when he is checking them out he talks the customers ear off. HAHA If we ever took a dog out back for a attitude adjustment he would take us out back for one. Sorry you had a bad experience :(

  • @yoyoluc I was an 18 year old groomer once and I worked with a bunch of middle aged women who were either burnt out or had just learned to groom at the same time i did. Age has nothing to do with experience or talent. I currently work with a girl who's 28 but she looks like a teenager still and people sometimes have that attitude towards her. Jokes on them though because she's been bathing/grooming since she was 14 and is amazing with dogs. you shouldn't be so quick to judge.

  • @mcost22 If your only complaint about how she's grooming is based on her lack of a grooming noose, that seems silly. I've been grooming for 10 years and I use a noose on a case by case basis. People do things differently. You don't have to be rude just because you don't like how she's doing things. She didn't hurt the dog and the owner likes the cut. That's all that matters.
