  • i dont understand how this is a tutorial?

  • Go to the link in the ddescription and read issue 71 of the newsletter. This is the result of the tutorial.

  • I could do this with DBC. Also, what's with the obvious skybox?

  • I'd like to see something similar with DBC, always good to look at other people's work. Please post a video.

The skybox - that is not the focus! Take a look at the tutorial, it explains the modelling of the castle in detail.

  • id go for darkbasic , its like amos to program and the structure is easyer to follow rather then $}[scratch head]&^ } void all, can just focus on the graphics and interface and theres many plug-ins for 3d modeling ,animation can even make your own modeler and editors with db for a starting point is what id pick then if a game becomes successful thats when you should concider hiring a chaos team to get ten years worth of coding done in 6 months heh

  • i'd go for db over all, becfause its got pretty good functionality (youll get fx files and everything) but doenst have a massive command set. people dont really have the power in there minds to create something really realisitic they have no idea how many lines that is :) but if you do its worth it

  • That wasn't a tutorial, you moron............ I'm reporting this video.

  • how long did you work on it? i am looking for programmers for a new play and i am looking for a good programm. :)

  • o yay that was some tutorial now i know all!

  • @AMYuntold Because DarkBASIC classic requires a much lower version of DirectX, and is therefore more compatible, and the file sizes all around are much smaller. DarkBASIC is much better for "portable" apps, and DarkBASIC Pro is much better for ease of use. It's the classic battle between accessibility and features. Besides, most features in DBPro can be emulated in DarkBASIC classic in some way.

  • @h8s2 Why do some people still use Classic? Please, this is something i've been interested for a while now, why to use a much older version basically?...

  • i love DBP

  • lol why does this remind me of Daikatana?

    no offense.

  • Hey thats looks pretty good

mmh can you tell me how to make senarioz?

  • I would recommend diving straight into C++ with DarkGDK, which is the C++ version of DBPro.
