The Princess and the Goblin - Spark Inside Us (Curdie)

This song haunted me when I first heard it for years and years. I lost the video, but the faint strains of that song stayed with me. I finally got a copy of it recently again and I love the song just as much as I did then.

Princess and the Goblin was really pretty good, especially for an indie animated movie, but if I have to list a fault, it's that it doesn't have a lot of background music. Like...almost none. It's not really that big a deal though.

Actually the movie had some good background music because it didn't overstay its welcome. When the music did play, it was there to convey the atmosphere. It's a classic editing trick to allow the movie to tell its story through dialogue when it needs to, and then there's nothing to be said, let the music do the talking for you.

For example, when Curdie and Irene were exploring the caves, I remember the lack of music INCREASING the atmosphere. I thought I was exploring the cave with them!
