  • How accurate is the mph? As in when you change increase/decrease speed how fast does it change? Fast enough to use as my only speedometer?

  • @nba1341 Very accurate. Bout a half second delay.

  • It's kind of strange, but it seems to me your MPG is fluctuating higher as you drive faster. The meter was reading 50+MPG at 60MPH at 2700RPM, but it looked like it was averaging 20-30MPG at 30-40MPH at about 2300RPM.

Is that right? Or am I just misreading because you were accelerating too quickly and it becomes inaccurate? I always figure you're supposed to get higher MPG at lower speeds/RPM (with the exception of hybrids) due to less drag.

  • @Rezxer If I leave my manual in gear, it will hit that 9999 mark after a few seconds of being off the gas. If I put it in neutral going down hill it will only go up to 270 on the instant mpg gauge. I put this vid up a couple days after I got it as well so I was still learning how to not gas it when I didn't need to. At first you'll think, "This feathering of the throttle takes too much concentration and effort." Later on you won't even realize you're doing it because it's become instinct.

  • i have an 09 r18 i wanted to get one of these as well...they went down to 169 recently where i'm from....is it worth it?

  • @TWsedan I routinely get 40 MPG due to seeing the average fuel consumption numbers. I was a heavy foot before and this thing changed my whole way of driving. On an hour long drive recently, I wanted to see what type of numbers I could pull off if I fought for every drop of gas. I got over 50MPG. As you know, that's smashing the estimated 36MPG suggested for highway in the car.
