Brawl Hacks - Random Match - Lucario vs. Mewtwo

And another one. This time, it's the ultimate showdown between Lucario and Mewtwo. HOW COME LUCARIO WON, THOUGH? :(

The stage is Abaddon's Lair, and Mewtwo was made by me.

Lucario: Strongest Pokemon , my ass .

First of all, Lucario uses aura and not dark power so when he hits an opponent then the color should be blue and second, Lucario was chosen for Brawl instead of Mewtwo because he had stared in a pokemon movie and almost had the same moveset as Mewtwo and they wanted a pokemon that was new besides Pikachu and Jigglypuff.

Reason Lucario wins this: He was a second Mewtwo wearing a Lucario costume for the giggles. 'Nuff said.

And while true, Lucario can learn Psychic just as Mewtwo can learn Aura Sphere, but Lucario cannot learn Psystrike, Mewtwo's signature move and the best Psychic move in the game. Lucario doesn't even have a signature move. Even Mewtwo can use its power, along with his superior psychokinetic power. And yes, based on what we've seen Mewtwo do, psychokinetic is established to be superior to any Pokemon technique shown since, including aura. It can't do what Mewtwo can. It's must smaller scale.

Mewtwo was so powerful that he could not be stopped either. Not even close. He CHOSE to have a change of heart at the end. There was nothing any Pokemon could do against his ability to pick them up with his mind, sent their attacks back with his mind, or completely block any attacks aimed at him. Lucario could not say that it could take on that many Pokemon at once, let alone unscathed.

Hell, it's also no question that Lucario would have trouble beating other characters in other anime series, like Naruto and Bleach. It was agreed that Mewtwo could SOLO the Narutoverse, Bleachverse, One PIece universe, and many other anime series, because he's that powerful. DBZ is too much for him, but he actually puts up a fight. His mental and psychic powers make it possible, as well as his ability to make global storms cabale of wiping out ALL life (including Lucario) on the planet.

And the other comparison is that Lucario uses Aura Sphere, which is like Mewtwo's Shadow Ball in Melee. Mewtwo's not the only Pokemon who can learn Shadow Ball. being Mewtwo's replacement doesn't put Lucario on Mewtwo's level. He's strong, but he's still like a normal Pokemon. He can be beaten by other Pokemon and overwhelmed, as we saw. Mewtwo wouldn't have that same trouble. He's shown he can lift more than 10 Pokemon at once. There's no comparison.

The only reason he can be compared to Mewtwo is because he was Mewtwo's replacement in Brawl, and that they have similar BRAWL fighting styles. Lucario uses aura attacks while Mewtwo uses some kind of... dark aura attack. Not much of a comparison as Mewtwo doesn't fight like that in the anime. He doesn't use his fists. He picks enemies up before they can even get within 20 feet of them and throws them, or bends them, or makes them lose their memory. Brawl Mewtwo is nothing like the real OG.

Other things to mention are the fact that Mewtwo can fly. Lucario can't do anything to Mewtwo because of this especially. He can fire Aura Sphere's, but they'll either dissipate harmlessly upon hitting Mewtwo's Psychic barrier, or Mewtwo could do what he did to Gyarados' Hyper Beam and use his hand to send it right back at Lucario.

Conversely, Mewtwo is free to lift Lucario with his mind from his vantage point in the air and repeatedly slam him into the ground.

Even Smash Bros nerf's Mewtwo. They say he is light because he floats. He weighs over 300 lbs iirc. They say he is slow. He's faster than Pikachu, and even faster than Gengar. He's MUCH faster than Pikachu. They say his physical attacks are weak. His physical attack stat is tied with the mighty Tauros, a bull.

Mewtwo HAD to be nerfer to not be broken/unbeatable in Smash Bros..Not just a small nerf, but a huge outrageous nerf.

@SacredBlackKnight Plus Flamethrower hits Lucario super-effectively, for an OHKO, whereas even a Dark Pulse from a max SpA Lucario isn't enough to OHKO Mewtwo.

Mewtwo also has access to Flamethrower, which is more powerful than Aura Sphere (at least in the game. Otherwise, Aura Sphere is more powerful, but Mewtwo's Psychic is the most powerful attack in the entire anime's history, while his Barrier is the most impenitrable defense.).
