  • Did you have to notify the FAA you were launching the balloon?

  • @389Lee we did called them, and read the possibilities of how heavy the box should be, it was 4 lbs max

  • First of all nice job. Did you get any pics where you could see the darkness of space? Where did you get the hellium?

How much hellium did you need for that balloon? How much did it cost for the hellium?

    thanks

  • first of all, i uploaded some pix in the video, you can check them out, they are on my account.. we ranted three tanks of gas from a company that filled regular balloon for bday parties and etc. .. helium cost us about $100

  • glad this box didn't smack anyone in the head or injury anyone. Jeez, dumb people do dumb things. Hey let's launch a box into the sky and then when the balloon pops lets see what happens when this projectile comes hurtling back to earth.

  • @whitehares

we hoped it would land safely... hehe.. if u look at our weather baloon, u can see the sagging part of it, which isnt filled with air... when the top of the balloon poped, it started falling, and the bottom part, the sagging one, got filled with air, and it served as a parachute... landed safety, not even a crack in the box..

  • clasno predumali u guys that made the video do u guys know evgeny your friend

  • comment obtenir un de c'est ballon je ne ni arrive pas.

  • @bmw528e How many liters was each tank?

  • we were told there was 40 cubic ft of hellium in each small tank we rented.. so in total we had like 120cu ft of helium (but mightve been a bit more)... baloon was like 6-7 ft wide.. we found some private company which posted their add on craigslist.. paid 30$ per 40cu ft of hellium (1 small tank)

  • for safety should have been a parachute attached below the balloon. otherwise great job !!

  • just use hydrogene super low priced compered to helium and lighter to.
