Perhaps the phenomenon called 3 Idiot had rocked everyone so much that neither the makers nor the audiences noticed a glaring flaw. Mona Singh's character had two different names in the film. Puzzled?

Its defo a mistake and not a pet name, cause her role was too small, and she had dialogues like in 3 scenes only.

I have a real blopper

in the scene when raju and farhan are holding the ashes of Javeed jaffri's father over the pot, trying to scare him they drop the cover of the kettle holding the ashes(literally not holding the ashes) in the pot, but when they(raju and farhan) leave the house the cover can be seen on the kettle. Moreover javed uncover it to check if the ashes are in there.

@ISubLikeRealCrazy u forget that while her role might be small.. as in we dont see her much.. Aamir's character is supposed to have gotten to know her a bit thru her sister so maybe he was familiar enuf to use a pet name..just because WE dont see her doesnt mean he didnt

Its not a mistake..bcoz...,at da flood scene ..firstly boman irani also calls mona singh as "mona"...sohis fathr calls him mona so its a pet name...rubbish newz..
