Alan Merrill, When The Night Comes, Aleecat

Alan Merrill performs his composition "When The Night Comes" at the Alphabet Lounge friday Jan 18th, 2008. This song was covered by Lou Rawls in 1983 on Epic Records. It was also covered by Catherine Howe in 1980 on Arista Records. Alan Merrill has released versions of the song on his "Cupid Deranged" and "Aleecat" solo albums.
The Lou Rawls version was taken into space by astronaut Guion "Guy" Bluford, and was the first song ever played outside of the earth's orbit, in space.

Lou Rawls version is on ebay in vinyl LP format, and on one of his compilation CDs titled Love Songs (he has about three compilations CDs with that title on different labels) which I've seen (it's very expensive) on amazon uk.
