  • i was there it was awsome :D

  • Man I miss my plane, I use to be a jet engine mechanic for these things, which was absolutly fantactic plane to work on or to just be around!!!

  • it could, but the C-17s air frame is too valuable, and why would you need more firepower than the AC-130 offers already

  • Hey,

I just saw the one this year, 2009. Yesterday, saturday, 18th. My brother flies C-17's and so many things the person is saying is sooo wrong. It's only 300,000lbs when you take everything heavy out of the inside and everything "tech" they don't need, for maximum handling. Love 8th squad.

  • i think that this plane would be able to do a barrel roll but they don't try for safety reasons

  • i used to watch c-17's fly in and out every day when i was in kuwait. awsome aircraft

  • Not slow enough

  • Go Team March !!!!!!!!....................

  • Yes it could, but it isnt feasable. Too expensive, and the C-130 does to job fine.

  • Could the C17 ever be converted into a gunship, like the way the USAF has made the AC-130 Spectre gunship..?? It could accomodate more Howitzer and a larger Thunderbolt II's 30mm GAU-8/A Gatling gun maybe ???
