  • Actually they are having very good cycle times with this set up! Theyve ran like this right from the start of the job! They are showing good rates of return through the amount of overburden shifted in a day! They run 2 777Fs to him all day and are doing about 150 loads a day depending on haul times of course! UK coal wouldnt do it if they didnt see the benefit!

  • Very poor set up, you are up against it from the start only having an 85 ton excavator to load a 100 ton truck, then they are swinging 90 degrees to bulk the dirt. Back the truck in on a 45 degree angle with the drivers side lined up with the diggers idler and swing only 45, that way as you open the bucket to dump the teeth follow the centreline of the body. 90 degree swings to load a truck is civil contractor hourly rate works mentality.
