Why I carry a gun - It happened to me!

I didn't always carry a gun. I got my CHL originally so I could take my guns out to the range on my motorcycle. One late night however, when I had just happened to have my gun with me, a couple of guys thought I'd make an easy target. I proved them wrong. This is my story.

@Cycloboss I can't belive you said that.The criminal wants to kill you not the honest person who went thru all the back ground checks stopping just short of a rectal exam to carry a legal gun for self defence. We didn't create the evil in the world, we just have to live with it. You think everyone who carries a gun is a criminal you must be way out there! I've known people like you before, after they fell victom to a real criminal they went out and got a gun. Then ask me to teach them

@Cycloboss I hope that I would never have to use it, but if, god forbid, I do, and it's me or them... well, I don't exactly feel like dying at the hands of an actual criminal. For the record, if I saw you being mugged, attacked, or otherwise in imminent danger of death at the hands of somebody, I'd even do it for you despite what you've said about us "hillbilly scum fucks". In many cases as well, simply staring down the barrel of a gun held by a man one thought would be easy prey is enough...

@Cycloboss People that mug, rape, and steal are the scumbags and well deserving of a bullet. It's surprising to me, the number of people who think the purpose of carrying a gun is to "kill someone."Firearms are useful for defense, but their usefulness does not happen simply because they can be lethal. They are useful because they are the most effective means for stopping a determined criminal attack before an innocent person is gravely injured, maimed for life, or killed.
