Watch these sessions of Didi comments. Observe how cleverly she uses a collection of words- konjam, rombam, ma, brilliant, rich, timbre, registers, flats and sharps, diction. The sole purpose of this verbal acrobatic is to deceive the viewers into thinking she is qualified to judge. Have you EVER heard her "disagreeing" with the qualified judges? Her opening comment usually is "I also thought..." and very conveniently, Renjini ALMOST NEVER STARTS with Didi for comments! The smattering of Tamil-cum-English is for the benefit of Malayalees who she thinks cannot understand English well enough. How else can you explain her "when in doubt, opt out"?
Yet Aianet has given her a carte blanche to judge for all she is worth. Alas! Such nonchalant behaviour not only affects the 'star aspirants' but erodes the credibility of the judges panel and ruins an otherwise wonderful show.
THINK AGAIN ASIANET!
Shameful! Whom is she trying to fool or deceive with her stupid and irrelevent comments. She is a disgrace to all the judges. If she is having the slightest of conscience how will she play with the future of serious aspirants. A mockery of judgement. She should have know better to accept ONLY the role of a celebrity guest... but then she will not get the "EASY" money she would get when she FAKES herself as a great critic of music. This lady is a great performer and let her just be just that.

She is the biggest fake going. She doesn't claim to be a Pandit? She has no credential to claim to be one. Wonder why she is a judge show after show.
Lot of Tamil actresses make an attempt to speak Malayalam. Shame on u, Usha.

Once we know the difference between the western & eastern scales, lyric is only a matter of diction. Otherwise, a Bengali Salil Chowdhury couldn't have rendered music to Malayalam lyrics. Her using Tamil, how about taking it as an apology for not knowing Malayalam well? Using only English would have been worse in a Malayalam program. She sang in 30 worldwide languages. She is a Tamil Brahmin born in Bombay, married to a Keralite Christian & now living in Kolkotha. So some mix-up is OK.
