Actually, they are blue and gold Macaws. They are obviously good friends, but not necessarily mated. 'Beaking' and mutual preening, or grooming of feathers, is a gesture of either friendship or affection, depending on how far it goes. The one good thing about this is, if you've got a buddy, those feathers that are too hard to reach, finally get looked after. Birds rock. We could, and should learn from them.
