There isn't a song sung by Neil Diamond that doesn't bring great memories to me; perhaps, not when he made the albums, but later when I started to listen to his verse - in all songs. His heart is so full; he is a woman's man! No man can be a woman's man without lessons in these words. Woman are strong fantastic creatures, but fragile and thus freightful like a bird. We are a curious creation; but, You Tube, keep reminding me why I breathe. Thank You. KittyKelso

I like the way he does the chorus but not the verses.

@shilo507 Not to be "that guy," but the original version is by Frankie Valli.

this is actually very good version - I can understand each word better then the original. Im still sentimental and partial to the Walker Brothers take, but Neil just knows how to make each song his own. Very talented man!

A diamond, a rare jewel...

@shilo507 - the walker brother's got the song from Bob Crewe who wrote the song for his band the Four Season.

Neil's the man!!!
I like Neil's cover of the song. Slightly slower than the Walker Brother's original. Neil really captures the mood of this classic song. The sun will, of course, shine again. It just feels that it won't sometimes.
