Obama Admin Made Billion Dollar Gamble On Electric Cars - Made In Finland

ABC News reports that an electric car company that received a $529 government loan is manufacturing the cars overseas. While the assembling part of the process is done overseas, engineering and design work for Fisker Automotive still remains in the U.S.

Vice President Joe Biden was in Delaware in October 2009 to celebrate the opening of a plant that would supposedly manufacture the cars. In the above video Henrik Fisher, CEO of Fisker Automative and Biden and give statements. In his remarks, Fisker explicitbly says the cars will be built in the U.S.

"There has never been a big change such is there happening right now where we are from the pure gasoline engine into the electrification of the automobile. Plug-in hybrids, for example, what we're going to be building, right here in this plant," Fisker said.

While touting that "the workers here have always been the best," Vice President Biden tells the company that they will "once again prove to you that they are the best in the world, and that's a fact."
