Awesome tortoise! I'm getting a 80pound 6yo next week!

I have a 2.5 year old.. He cost $98.00 to buy him from the turtle source as a hatching. He is grown from about 3 inches to about 8 inches. Care is the key to keeping these animals

@justchattysbob thanks!, yea i will keep that in mind, can you give me an idea on what amounts i should feed a 13 week old sulcata, thanks :)

Nice video! Nice shell on your tortoise as well. Where are you located? We live in SE Kansas and its hard to keep our Slucata happy in the winter, but we manage :) And you are right, its NOT abusive to the tortoise at all, not when they are this big! They are SO STRONG!

just don't make the mistakes that a lot of people make when they have a Sulcata, they feed them too much and then the shell pyramids, that isn't healthy for them. It is so easy to overfeed them because the lil critters love to eat :)
Have fun with them!

we have kept Goliath in the basement during the winter, but he is getting toooo big to carry him up and down the stairs, so this year we bought a yard barn and part of the space will be used by Goliath. We are trying to figure out how to heat it and insulate it, we are going to set up a motion video camera to make sure he is ok at all times.

Goliath is about 8 years old, not sure how much he weighs, probably around 50 lbs, he will probably outlive us, they can live up to 100 years.
He weighed less than a pound when we got him, he could fit into the palm of our 8 year old Grandsons hand. I am not sure how much they cost to buy one. They are expensive to keep.
