D1548 Departs York

Filmed 24/5/08. D1548 (47851, 'Traction Magazine') leads the outward leg of the Norwich-Newcastle railtour which took a long pause at York, as it was also a tour for the NRM specail 1968 day, as it marked 40 years since the end of steam.

Ah yes I was there, D1023 'Western Fusilier', which is owned by NRM anyway, D9009 'Alycidon' and a few shunters.

If you check out my Grand Central HST through Doncaster which i'm currently uploading now, that had a lot of scream on it!

Aye, no wonder why some of the GC cars aren't screaming like they should be. This was the case when I was at Doncaster in January; as one set shot through, only the rear power car was giving it some. The front power car sounded silent. My HST at Doncaster video may prove the case.

Anyway, another fantastic video as ever mate; keep 'em coming now!

Yeah thats what it worked, currently Grand Central only have one working HST set as the others are either blown up or in bad condition, so GC are persuading passengers to board NXEC services to York/Northallerton and change

My prediction is, they're assigning the 47 diagram to the York-Sunderland section only.

I saw two Class 47's T&T a Grand Central but I got no pictures as I didn't know what working it was doing, and I predicted it would travel south and pass me at the end of the platform anyway, but sadly I didnt.
