With these signals and a custom controller, did you have to add resistors for the lights or are the resistors pre-assembled as part of the crossing signal? Thanks for any help anyone can give!

i have a model train set with a steam engine but do you have to have wires on the controller or do you just pug it in

@disneyfan81 Many crossings along the B&O/DT&I/C&O in Ohio just have lights. That's slowly changing, but this is still accurate. The new layout will have plenty of gated crossings, however. You should check that out at youtube(dot)com/ModernDTI. This layout was dismantled years ago!

No gates?

@cvgeeps No, I made up the logo specifically for the car just for fun. I thought it turned out nice. :-)

Was the DT& I Cryo car prototypic??

Cool
Everyone listen up: DO NOT buy the Walthers Crossing Signal Controller if you have, or plan to upgrade to DCC. As it says in the package, the controller is only for use on DC layouts. DCC systems can damage the controller.

@royalflush5000 This is specifically why I did NOT use the Walthers controllers. If you read, I used LogicRail, which are 100% DCC compatible. Only the signals themselves are from Walthers.
