A new song played at Polihale Beach, Kaua'i, Hawaii, on my Gen 1 PANArt Pygmy-tuned Hang. This was recorded in July 2008. The southern terminus of the beautiful Napli Coast is in the background. Listen for the birds singing in the trees.

The flowers at the beginning of the video are plumerias: they come in dozens of different colors, shapes and scents in the Hawaiian islands!

With my Sweetheart there with me, watching the sun set, listening to the birds and the surf...it was Paradise!

About the making of this video:
Sound recording using a battery powered Boss H2 digital recorder (seen at the left of the video sitting in the sand). Video captured by a little Sony DSC-T30 digital camera. Audio normalization using Sony Sound Forge Audio Studio. Audio and video combined and video effects editing using ULead Video Studio 11. Gen 1 Pygmy tuned Hang by PANArt. The tune is my original composition.

  • Great man....like it.

The place is amazing and so beautiful.....very good for improvisation and inspiration.

  • Thank you! One of the wonderful things about the Hang is that it can transport you into an internal place that is just a beautiful and serene.

  • Nice ;) "Enchanting" Playing must be inspired with a setting like that.

  • Glad I could "enchant" you! Not only was Kaua'i inspiring, but it was VERY hard to leave!

  • I love this, the editing and the tone, I have been wanting to hear a good pygmy tune. Wonerful job!

  • Thank you. The Pygmy tuning is amazingly versatile - I love it the most!
