OiNK was not asking for money to download!!!

OiNK asked for donations to help with SERVER COSTS!!! OiNK was running a torrent tracker, just like The Pirate Bay. If he was some sort of millioniare then how comes he was arrested at a small average house and not a mansion???

THE MEDIA KNOW NOTHING ABOUT TORRENTING, FALSE ARREST!!!!

tbh i think this site has loads more pirated material than oink, i can pretty much search for any new music video and it will pop up... for example

They guy who ran it wasn't seeding anything, that was the users, he was arrested for apparently making upwards of 100k cash from it (bs the guy rents a flat in a shitty terraced house, what the hell was he supposed to be spending the cash on, cds?)

Oink is back up and private now :)
But, I guess it does not matter. Nothing will happen except to the man who was arrested who actually had gigs upon gigs of music he was seeding, hes fucked :)

Totally agree, torrent's are sharing material, not some downloadable stuff you download from a server... This thing was more like a symbol

Its obvious that you have no clue how that works. The guy didn't sell music. You didn't have to pay him. He hosted NO illigal files on his website. It was perfectly legal.

His site was a search engine. Like google. I dont see people raiding down googles servers....

If you watch the BBC North report on it its obvious the police have no idea how the site works either. The police claimed the owner "Forced members to pay a subscription fee" and that all the albums were stored "on the servers and of unreleased material."

They should at least know what their doing if their goin 2 arrest some1.
