The victory goes to Montserrat Caballe. Most operasingers themselves agree that Montserrat was a true powerhouse and the best performer of this song. Probably tie with Maria Callas. Renee Fleming is great as well, but Anna Netrebko doesn't even come close, she doesn't have any good dynamics in her voice.

I do like Fleming but to say she has classical perfection is probably wrong. Her Italian diction is not terrible, but it is not idiomatic either - a decent voice and technique almost there, no more than that.
