Never under any circumstance use a lighter 1 inch away to lite a piece of paper to test out any kind of flash powder you PUT A FUSE IN IT!! try the 5:4:1 it works very good thats what i use. for a 10g batch 5g potassium nitrate 4g magnesium and 1g sulfur.
