You don't need enrichment to develop nuclear weapons.
It's technically trivial to build an air-cooled graphite reactor fueled by unenriched slugs of natural uranium. The US developed, built, tested and started operations of the X-10 graphite reactor(that supplied the plutonium for the fatman bomb) in under 10 months.
Stop threatening Iran on the basis of fictitious nonsense and they can dismantle the military part of their nuclear programme and keep the civilian part(which they will need).

Obama threatens war openly when it comes to the question of Iran going "nucular". Putin's Quayle-bimbo Medvedev is not amused. This is not over yet and it is devoutly hoped that Obama will sit down without preconditions with Ahmadinejad and if necessary give them their damn missle.

Thank god for thinkers like Chomsky

As C.Wright Mills wroted so "Prophetic in "Power Elite"1956:The American elite does not have any real image of peace — other than as an uneasy interlude existing precariously by virtue of the balance of mutual fright. The only seriously accepted plan for peace is the full loaded pistol. In short, war or a high state of war-preparedness is felt to be the normal and seemingly permanent condition of the United States.
