Some of you may have fond childhood memories of the Rockafire Explosion, the robot band from Chuck E. Cheese. Well, one of the guys who created it has reprogrammed the robots to play pop songs, and the result is pretty awesome.

  • It's SHOBIZ!!!!!!!!!

  • showbiz dude. showbiz rules. chuck e cheese druels. if you can't get it staight you should ask somebody for help so you don't misspeak.

  • @NickRyderSGC Either way- this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. I mean- just do a LITTLE research on your "story." The information is just wrong. The band was from Showbiz Pizza. Sure, some Chuck E. Cheese's were outfitted with the Showbiz band (or members thereof) but this guy's childhood experience was the exception from the norm. And, they should not be known as the "robot band from Chuck E. Cheese."

  • @kortzeja Incorrect. Quit spreading misinformation. Chuck E. Cheese and Showbiz Pizza were competing chains (with their own anamatronic shows). Showbiz's was superior because they used When Chuck E. Cheese filed for bankruptcy, Showbiz bought them out (in 1984). They continued to operate both stores separately until the early 90's, when their animatronics partner (Creative Engineering) left. At that time, the company began switching all of its stores over to the Chuck E. Cheese franchise.

  • Get your facts straight.

  • I do remember that happening when they all started to show up at both SPP and CEC; I was wondering what the heck was going on...but indeed they did belong to SPP first.

  • Thanks for the history on it. I knew one bought out the other, but didn't know exactly which one. I would of like it to have stayed as Showbiz instead of CEC, just my opinion.

  • Im going to break this down for all of you. CEC Entertainment owns/owned the rights to both the Chuck E. Cheese and Showbiz Pizza franchises. Over the history of the ownership of both companies several Showbiz and Chuck E. Cheese restraunts were converted to eachother and as a result several Chuck E. Cheeses ended up with animatronic stage shows. There were two in the town that I grew up in that did this. I believe CEC Entertainment sold the rights to Showbiz Pizza some time in the late 90s

  • WELL... technically Showbiz bought out CEC back in the mid 80s and for a little while they were rebranding Showbiz stores as Chuck E Cheese's and Chuck E Cheese's as Showbiz Pizza's - taking out the old CEC name/ Pizza Time Theater. So depending where this guy is from, he MAY have went to one of the Showbiz's that were converted to Chuck E Cheese before the Concept Unification in the early 90s when the RAE and the Pizza Time Players both played at "Chuck E Cheese" ... the more you know ;)

  • Not to mention he left David Ferguson out of the equation. *wink*
