wow, i love how people are commenting on this role like it should be serious----it's the magic flute, it's a ridiculous story, as long as she can hit the high f's, that's all that matters, and she does---flawlessly

i play in an opera orchestra, and have played this many times---i have NEVER played with a soprano that sings it this well

Not gonna lie...I like Natalie Dessay better. She uses less glottal stops in the coloratura passages and it provides a smoother, easier sound.

Sumi definitely is good at clearly defining each note in the "bande" section.

@Greykeys88 fair criticism - I would agree on the more nuances to the music. As for varieties of homicidal despot dictators... hmm perhaps less so, take a mix from mad, bad and dangerous :-)
